Ben White has been a revelation at Leeds United so far this season.

Ben White has seen his brilliant start to life at Leeds United rewarded.

The 21-year-old, on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, was voted as the PFA Fans Player of the Month in the Championship for August.

White has been ever-present in a Leeds defence that has conceded only three league goals in six outings.

There were question marks over whether the young centre-back was an adequate replacement for Pontus Jansson, who moved to Brentford, but White has answered them emphatically en route to becoming a real favourite at Elland Road.

Here’s how United supporters reacted to his award:

It’s a richly-deserved reward for White and Leeds fans will be hoping that he maintains this form throughout the entire season.

There will be low points of course, as there always is in United’s season, but it’s important that he reacts to any dip in form or confidence well.

Leeds got rid of quite a few centre-backs this past summer and signed just one – White – so there is big pressure on the young man.
