Christian Eriksen said a few months ago that he wanted to quit Tottenham Hotspur.

Christian Eriksen does not regret the comments he made about wanting to quit Tottenham Hotspur in June.
Shortly after Spurs’ Champions League final defeat by Liverpool in Madrid, Eriksen revealed that he wanted ‘something new’ amid speculation about a move to Real Madrid.
The Dane, who joined Tottenham in 2013 for £11 million [The Telegraph], has been one of the club’s best and most consistent players over the past six years.
Monday’s transfer deadline passed without the 27-year-old getting his move away but, despite saying that he’s happy in North London, Eriksen stated that he had no regrets about stating his desire to leave in the first place.
He told The Daily Mail: “No it wasn’t [wrong] but it is football and you never know what happens in football and many things always come into play.
“I wish I could decide just as in the Football Manager (game) but unfortunately I can’t.”
Eriksen has had a good start to the season.
On Sunday, he opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 2-2 draw at rivals Arsenal, having had a game-changing cameo against Aston Villa on the opening day of the season after being benched by Mauricio Pochettino.
For the most part, though, he has struggled for much of 2019 and time will tell whether he can get back to his best form now.
