Perhaps Matt Grimes was not so bad after all?
Grimes proved a point to former club Leeds United at the weekend as Swansea City went to Elland Road and won.
Now it is Swansea topping the Championship table ahead of Leeds.
It was back in 2016 that Grimes left the then Premier League Swans to join former boss Garry Monk at Leeds.
The ideal opportunity turned into a nightmare as Monk lost faith in him almost immediately.
Tasked with filling the shoes of just sold fan favourite Lewis Cook, Grimes never lived up to expectations and was far from his best.
As a result he was quickly written off and returned to Leeds with his reputation tarnished.
To rebuild his confidence he dropped down a further division on loan to join Northampton.
Now he is a regular at Swansea and is flourishing, becoming the player Leeds hoped they were landing in 2016.
Grimes showed at the weekend he is capable of starring at Elland Road, helping Swansea grind to a 1-0 win.
He was loving it, subsequently sending a message showing how much he enjoyed the victory.
After the way his Leeds career flopped and the way it set him back, this was an important moment for the 24-year-old.
With Swansea top of the league, he can start to dream of the Premier League again.
