Tottenham Hotspur have picked up two points from two tough away Premier League fixtures this season.

Paul Merson has stated that a positive for Tottenham after four Premier League matches is that they have had ‘tough trips’ against Manchester City and Arsenal ‘out of the way’.
Over the weekend, Spurs recorded a 2-2 draw against their North London neighbours – that was the same scoreline at the Etihad Stadium last month against Manchester City.
It was a much better performance by Mauricio Pochettino’s side against Arsenal, as Spurs go into the international break sitting in ninth place with five points.
In his recent column with Sky Sports, Merson shared his thoughts on Pochettino, the North London derby which he believes Spurs ‘cannot be happy about’ after letting a two-goal lead slip.
“I don’t feel the need to respond to Mauricio Pochettino’s comments in the week,” Merson told Sky Sports. “My opinion was my opinion. It was nice he listened. At least he didn’t say ‘Paul Merson who?’
“You cannot be happy with letting a two-goal lead slip in the north London derby, especially with the way Arsenal defended. It looked like Spurs would pick them off and score three or four, but their final pass wasn’t good enough at crucial stages of the game.
“The positive for Spurs is that they’ve got tough trips to Manchester City and Arsenal out of the way and drawn them both.”

Despite Tottenham’s indifferent performances this season and their off-field problems, they still have had a healthy start, but they will be looking to improve after the international break.
Upon their return, they will host Crystal Palace on home soil before they begin yet another Champions League campaign, starting with Olympiakos.
It is going to be a busy September period for Spurs because along with Premier League and Champions League football, they will also start their EFL Cup campaign.
