Ian Wright has said on BBC Radio 5 Live that Sadio Mane is ‘tired of’ Liverpool team-mate Mo Salah.

Mane made headlines during the Reds’ 3-0 win at Burnley for his furious reaction to being substituted by Jurgen Klopp.

Minutes earlier, Liverpool had a chance to score another but Salah chose to shoot rather than square the ball to his better-placed team-mate, who had bagged his side’s second of the evening.

And Arsenal legend Wright claims that Mane is fed up with the Egyptian attacker’s selfishness and pointed to one statistic which says it all.

Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday night: “I’m not going to talk because as a striker I’ve thought, ‘would I have squared him in?’ and I hope I would have but in the moment I can see why he’s angry there. He was so angry, he was furious, that was the ‘I’ve had enough moment’. That’s what we saw on the bench at Burnley.

“He’s had enough of him, when he could have had the tap-in. We’ve got a stat… he’s created 43 chances for him, Salah only 25. That says to me he’s tired of it not being reciprocated.”

Salah has won the Golden Boot in each of the last two seasons after scoring a combined 54 Premier League goals for Liverpool.

But the former Chelsea star, who shared the award with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mane last term, is three goals behind Sergio Aguero this season, with the Argentine netting six in four games.

Salah can be occasionally a tad selfish in front of goal. Then again, when you have scored the volume of goals that he has over the past two seasons then you have every right to feel confident about scoring yourself.
