How did all three of Tottenham’s Champions League opponents get on this weekend?

Tottenham Hotspur were handed a kinder Champions League draw this season than last year when they landed in a group with Barcelona, Inter and PSV.
This time around Tottenham have a tough test with Bayern Munich, but ties against Red Star Belgrade and Olympiakos seem less daunting.
Here is a look at how all three of Tottenham’s opponents got on this weekend…
Bayern Munich
Bayern are warming up perfectly for their Champions League campaign. They absolutely demolished Mainz on Saturday, winning 6-1.
Benjamin Pavard, David Alaba, Ivan Perisic, Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski and Alphonso Davies were all on the scoresheet.
Spurs drew 2-2 with Bayern in pre-season, but they have strengthened since, with the addition of Perisic and Coutinho.
Their team looks a little daunting, and Tottenham will need to sharpen up for their matches.

Red Star Belgrade
Red Star recorded an impressive 2-1 away win over title rivals Vojvodina.
This kept up Red Star’s perfect start to the season domestically. Now they have five wins from five games.
Having come through the Champions League qualifiers last month, they are a side in top form.
Olympiakos
Mathieu Valbuena scored an early penalty to give Olympiakos a 1-0 away win over Larissa.
Olympiakos were able to restrict their opponents to just one shot on target.
The Super League season has just begun, and Olympiakos have two wins from two games.
