This time last week, Bolton Wanderers fans didn’t even know whether they would have a club to support by the time August came to an end. What a difference a week makes.
After Football Ventures swooped in at the eleventh hour to save this proud old club from liquidation, things are looking up again at Bolton.
Forget the financial strife and the points deduction, these poor supporters now have a proven lower league manager in Keith Hill to get behind - not to mention nine new signings, including Daryl Murphy and Liam Bridcutt.
And Bolton's dramatic recruitment drive doesn't necessarily need to come to an end just because the window has closed.
Joe Dodoo’s miserable three year spell at Rangers is over with the Glasgow giants announcing on their official website that the former Leicester City starlet had been released on Monday.
And, despite scoring six times during a loan spell at Lancashire rivals Blackpool last season, it seems that Bolton fans would be more than happy to see Dodoo become signing number ten of the embryonic Keith Hill era.
Fast and versatile, the 24-year-old would certainly give Bolton something different after the signings of old-school number nines Murphy and Chris O’Grady. Watch this space.

If we don’t announce Joe Dodoo in the next hour with an edited baby shark video what’s even the point #BWFC— Andrew Broome (@APBroome1995) September 2, 2019
If we’re getting Dodoo and Murphy, 2 up top, clinical— (@BWFCNathan) September 2, 2019
