Nikola Katic of Rangers
The 22-year-old defender joined Rangers from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1.5 million.
The Croatia international has established himself as an important player for the Gers, and he has said that he is ready to commit his long-term future to Rangers.
Manager Steven Gerrard has also said that he wants the youngster to stay at the club, and has stated he wants him to sign a new contract.
According to The Scottish Sun, Katic still has three years left on his current contract at Rangers.
Katic told The Scottish Sun: “I really enjoy it here. If I have to stay here my whole life, why not?”
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun about Katic: “We spent a lot of money on him, £1.5m, but we could see what he had and we feel he continues to go from strength to strength.”
The Rangers boss added: “He is one we are looking to try to extend and stay beyond the contract he is on now.”

Long-term Rangers stay
Katic has progressed well for Rangers since his move in the summer of 2018, and the 22-year-old can only get better.
The defender has formed a strong partnership with Connor Goldson at the heart of the Rangers defence, and the duo could be at the club for years to come and bring success to Ibrox.
