The Tottenham Hotspur signing is playing Under-23 games for Leeds United.
Jack Clarke’s move from Tottenham Hotspur to Leeds United really isn’t going well.
The 18-year-old hasn’t kicked a ball in the Championship since re-signing for Marcelo Bielsa’s side on a season-long loan from Spurs.
In fact, he hasn’t even made a matchday squad for a league game since August 10 and Leeds have played four times in the Championship since then.
He started Sunday’s Under-23 game against Bristol City, but manager Carlos Corberan hooked him after 80 minutes of yesterday’s 0-0 draw.
And Leeds fans haven’t reacted well to his reaction to being subbed, with the Tottenham new boy failing to acknowledge his replacement Nial Huggins.
Clarke did not look happy, not even shaking the hand of the player coming on in his place.— Stephen Lewis (@vegansmithsfan) September 1, 2019
disgusting from Clarke to just totally ignore Huggins as he walked off………….This is NOT the LEEDS way— Andy Barrell (@A_Barrell) September 1, 2019
Totally agree. Getting too big for his boots— stephen skelton (@skeltos65) September 1, 2019
Clarke thinks he’s netter than he really is. Ian Harte has handled him badly. Think he should go back to Spurs now— peehair Dollar (@Pierredollar) September 1, 2019
Think he totally ignored Huggins. What was that?— LUFC_Polska (@LufcPolska) September 1, 2019
You can understand Clarke’s frustration overall.
It must be a tad annoying to go from being signed by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, to being an Under-23 player for Leeds again.
There’s more than a hint of regression for Clarke, who only started four Championship games prior to sealing an £8.5 million move to North London in July.
