Christopher Jullien played well for Neil Lennon’s Celtic yesterday.

The former Rangers striker was impressed with the performance of Jullien in defence, as Celtic won the Old Firm derby 2-0 at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was also impressed with the display produced by the 26-year-old French central defender.
Boyd said on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon (2:07pm, September 1, 2019): “Unbelievable, Jullien headed everything away, he was a colossus at the back, never gave Jermain Defoe anything in the first half.
“Alfredo Morelos comes on and tries to run at him, gets past him, gets his shot away, he just steadied the whole thing.”

Quality performance
Jullien was arguably the best player on the pitch at Ibrox, and the defender was a rock at the back and kept the Rangers attackers at bay.
The former France Under-20 international defender was brilliant in the air, made the right tackle and the right interceptions at the right time, and marshalled his defence brilliantly.
Celtic signed the 26-year-old from French club Toulouse in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £7 million.
The defender has proved to be a brilliant acquisition for the Hoops, and it is clear that with him at the back, Celtic fans can be more relaxed about defending.
