Celtic clinched victory in the first Old Firm derby of the season today – and ex-Rangers midfielder Liam Burt seemingly loved it.
The Bhoys came into the game with a point to prove, as many had suggested that this was the year for Rangers to really mount a significant title challenge.
Celtic were vastly superior throughout though, and took the lead in the first half as Mikey Johnston's pass put Odsonne Edouard clean through on goal, and he calmly slotted past Allan McGregor.
Rangers were dismal for much of the game, and Celtic caught them on the break late on with a Jonny Hayes goal, before Jordan Jones was sent off late on for Rangers.
Celtic will feel they've put down a real marker and reminded everyone that they're still the team to beat in Scotland, and one ex-Rangers player loved the result.
Midfielder Liam Burt left Rangers at the end of last season, and made the shock move to join rivals Celtic, though it's worth noting that he actually grew up supporting the Bhoys.
Today, Burt took to Twitter to post a somewhat controversial message given his Rangers past, posting that he loves Celtic after their 2-0 win at Ibrox.
Rangers fans haven't exactly responded well to the tweet having seen the midfielder emerge through their ranks, but it's obviously a day for all Celtic fans to celebrate – even if they were once with the Gers.
