The Everton defender really struggled against one Wolves star today.

Everton might’ve snatched victory today, but it wasn’t enough to save one player from widespread criticism.

Richarlison struck an 80th-minute winner as Marco Silva’s side edged out Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 at Goodison Park.

Wolves were back on level terms inside 10 minutes when Roman Saiss cancelled out the Brazilian’s early opener.

And Everton left-back Lucas Digne is being slated for his role in Wanderers’ equaliser.

Digne, signed by Toffees’ Director of Football Marcel Brands last summer, had a very difficult afternoon against winger Adama Traore.

The former Barcelona star was also questionable in the visitors’ second equaliser and here’s how fans of the Merseyside club reacted to his performance:

Digne, to his credit, did make up for his questionable defending by setting up Richarlison for the winner.

Offensively he’s one of the best full-backs around, but defensively there are question marks at times and his assist doesn’t cancel out the fact he was majorly culpable for both of Wolves’ goals.
