The big Celtic defender went off injured at Ibrox this afternoon.
Christopher Jullien has told Sky Sports that he’s ‘really very sorry’ for Celtic team-mate Nir Bitton.
The Israel international looked devastated to be going off injured midway through the second half of Sunday’s 2-0 win at Rangers.
Bitton, who has had plenty of injury problems in the past, collided with the hoarding at the side of the pitch and was ultimately replaced by Celtic new boy Moritz Bauer.
Jullien, a £7 million signing this summer [Herald Scotland], was then joined in central defence by Hatem Elhamed and the French defender hopes that Bitton is okay.
He told Sky Sports: “When you are a family on the field everything is much easier. I’m really very sorry about what happened to Nir Bitton but Hatem came inside and we finished the job.
“Everything is so good for us.”
Bitton picked up a knee injury in February of 2018 and wouldn’t play again until the following January.
Goals from Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes did the damage for Celtic, who move three points clear of the light Blues.
Both sides had 100 percent records in the Scottish Premiership prior to kickoff, but Neil Lennon’s troops have extended theirs, winning four games from four.
