Ibrox plays host on Sunday as the Gers welcome their bitter Glasgow rivals in the first Old Firm derby of the season.
The 20-year-old has already established himself as an important player for Celtic boss Neil Lennon in recent weeks, scoring three goals in all competitions - including one in the 4-1 Europa League playoff win against AIK in Sweden on Thursday.
Speed is one of Johnston's strongest assets, and Sutton says that Rangers should be worried about him and right-sided attacker Forrest on the other wing tomorrow.
He told BT Sport: "The bottom line is that Celtic can really hurt Rangers on the counter attack, the likes of Forrest and Mikey Johnston. He's going to be a big player for Celtic this season."
Unfortunately for Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, Sutton is spot-on.
Johnston has pace to burn and if the light Blues' manager doesn't figure out a way to negate the Lennoxtown gem, the hosts could be in serious trouble.

He needs a stage like this to fully establish himself as the real deal and maybe, just maybe, he'll take his chance tomorrow - if Lennon starts him.
