The release date for Street Outlaws The List and how to pre-order on PS4 and Xbox One.
Discover Channel’s popular television series Street Outlaws is getting a video game adaptation named Street Outlaws: The List, and its release date has been announced with the option to pre-order on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In case you don’t know anything about Street Outlaws but are desperate for a video game alternative to Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, all you to need know is that the reality television series provides a supposedly unscripted look into the inside of American street racing.
And that’s pretty much the same premise for its exciting video game adaptation.
What is Street Outlaws The List?
Street Outlaws: The List is a video game adaptation of the Street Outlaws television series that has been going for 13 seasons.
There are no gameplay trailers available as of yet, but there’s no denying that its screenshots look incredibly detailed.
It’s more than slightly concerning that there are no gameplay videos available to watch, but the information surrounding the game and its features are still tantalising.
Single and multiplayer modes are expected for video games concerned with American racing, but Street Outlaws: The List is said to go above and beyond with local four-player co-op via split-screen.
For those who miss the good old days of being able to play multiplayer games on the same couch with a group of mates, this is exciting and welcomed news.
In addition to the above, there will also be 24 unique vehicles available to modify. These cars will all be based on the television series, but there’s said to be a rich assortment of ways to tweak them.
When it comes to actually racing, there’ll be several unique modes to participate in by yourself or with mates such as Bullseye, Smash and Sprint. This coupled with the accompanying details about multiplayer and customisation should have racing game fanatics foaming at the mouth, but is it too good to be true?
Street Outlaws The List video game release date PS4 and Xbox One
Per the following idiom, if something is too good to be true it probably is.
Street Outlaws: The List sounds like a worthy alternative to the likes of Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport on paper, but it’s more than a little suspicious that we haven’t seen any gameplay.
You might be thinking that’s because it comes out sometime next year, but that’s not the case as its release date is instead October 22.
That means there’s less than two months before the game launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, and all we have to go on is a few screenshots and worded promises.
As if that doesn’t sound dubious enough, developer Team6 Studios doesn’t have the best reputation either as games from their closet include the poorly received Road Rage, Super Street: The Game, and FlatOut 3: Chaos & Desctruction.
Hopefully Street Outlaws: The List turns out to be a fantastic experience that makes me look silly for worrying, but judgement should be reserved until actual substantial gameplay is shown.
