Olympiakos have been drawn in Tottenham’s Champions League group.

Olympiakos owner Evangelos Marinakis says he is optimistic despite landing a tricky Champions League group.

The Greek side have been drawn with last season’s runners-up Tottenham Hotspur.

Bayern Munich and Red Star Belgrade make up the quartet.

Marinakis, who also owns, Nottingham Forest, says he believes in Olympiakos’ qualities.

He told the club website: “Bayern is a really top team, like Tottenham and our Serbian brothers.

“We believe in our strengths, we are strong and particularly optimistic.”

Tottenham and Bayern are clear favourites to progress to the knockout stages.

But both Red Star and Olympiakos have potential to be banana skins for Spurs.

Red Star beat Liverpool last season, while Olympiakos have won games against Manchester United and Arsenal in recent seasons at home.

Tottenham will have to be careful not to underestimate either.
