Fiorentina reportedly have an alternative to Bobby Duncan.

Liverpool attacker Bobby Duncan’s potential move to Fiorentina is looking more and more unlikely.

The Guardian reported that the Reds had an approach turned down by Fiorentina earlier this week.

This sparked claim and counter claim from his agent and the club over what is best for Duncan’s career.

Well it now seems as though Fiorentina are moving in a very different direction.

Gianluca Di Marzio report Fiorentina are targeting Flamengo talent Pedro Arthur.

The club are trying to do a deal to bring the Brazilian in for the January window.

Like Duncan, Pedro Arthur is a striker. He is a striker, just 17-years-old.

Liverpool’s decision to reject Fiorentina’s bid makes it unlikely they will return for him.

The Serie A side had proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, Sky Sports reported.

There is not much time for Fiorentina to buy players, with the European deadline on Monday September 2.

They seem keen to sign a young striker, it just might not be Duncan they end up with.
