Good move for Callum Connolly?
Connolly is a very talented and promising young defender who needs regular playing time at this stage age of his career.
Staying at Everton and playing for the youth team would not have really helped the 21-year-old in his development and progress, and it made sense for him to join Lincoln on loan.
League One is a very competitive and hard domestic league, and playing regularly will help the defender get better and learn more.
Connolly will then be in a very good position to return to Everton next summer and challenge to break into Marco Silva’s first team at Goodison Park.
