Fraser Forster re-joined Celtic on loan last week.

Tony Watt has said on Twitter that he believes Fraser Forster could be a Celtic legend, if he joins permanently.

The big English goalkeeper re-signed for the Hoops on a season-long loan from Southampton last week after previously spending a few years at Parkhead, leaving in 2014.

Forster is earning £70,000 per week with the Saints [Spotrac], illustrating his importance to the Premier League side once upon a time.

But he has fallen down the pecking order at St Mary’s and he’ll be hoping to kick-start his career once more at Celtic.

The 31-year-old said that James Forrest and Scott Brown, two players he knew from his previous spell in Glasgow, are bonafide Bhoys legends.

And former Celtic star Watt believes that Forster could also make himself a club legend if he sticks around for a few years.

Forster could make another debut for Celtic on Thursday in the Europa League playoff away to AIK in Sweden.

Neil Lennon’s side have a comfortable 2-0 lead in the tie.
