Confirmed Newcastle v Leicester line-ups: Perez starts as Joelinton misses out

Newcastle United take on Leicester City this evening.

Newcastle United starting line-up: Darlow; Krafth, Schar, Fernandez, Clark, Willems; Shelvey, M. Longstaff, Hayden; Ritchie, Muto.

Leicester City starting line-up: Schmeichel; Pereira, Morgan, Soyuncu, Fuchs; Choudhury, Tielemans; Barnes, Maddison, Perez; Vardy.

Leicester City substitutes: Ward, Justin, Evans, Gray, Albrighton, Ndidi, Praet.

Newcastle have named a strong side tonight, but go with second-choice stopper Karl Darlow in goal behind a back five of Emil Krafth, Fabian Schar, Federico Fernandez, Ciaran Clark and Jetro Willems.

Jonjo Shelvey joins Isaac Hayden and debutant Matty Longstaff in midfield, with Matt Ritchie seemingly being used to support Yoshinori Muto in attack, as Joelinton is out injured.

Christian Atsu is on the bench again, alongside Martin Dubravka, Javi Manquillo, Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett, Ki Sung-yueng and Sean Longstaff.

Meanwhile, Leicester have gone basically full-strength, starting with Kasper Schmeichel in goal behind a back four of Ricardo Pereira, Wes Morgan, Caglar Soyuncu and Christian Fuchs.

Hamza Choudhury partners Youri Tielemans in midfield, with Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and ex-Newcastle star Ayoze Perez supporting Jamie Vardy up top.

Wilfred Ndidi returns from injury to take his place on the bench, alongside Danny Ward, James Justin, Jonny Evans, Demarai Gray, Marc Albrighton and Dennis Praet.
