Tottenham Hotspur are due to face Arsenal on Sunday in the North London Derby.

Arsenal fans have hit back at Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura’s comments in the London Evening Standard ahead of the North London Derby.

Tottenham are due to face Arsenal on Sunday, as they look to lift the gloom building around Hotspur Way.

Spurs lost their last match 1-0 to Newcastle United, and serious questions have been asked about their performance in the contest.

Moura is pleased that Spurs have such a big game coming up though, and has suggested that playing against Arsenal gives them the perfect opportunity to right the wrongs.

“Is this the perfect game for us to have after the Newcastle defeat? Yes,” Moura said.

“We need to look forward. There are a lot of hard games. We lost against Newcastle but I am sure we have the quality to go to Arsenal and come back with three points.”

Moura’s comments have not gone down well with Arsenal fans, as they think that he has spoken out of turn.

Arsenal have taken six points from their first two games and have shown signs of improvement last season, so the suggestion that they are the ‘perfect’ opposition has not been responded to kindly.

Arsenal are currently two points ahead of Tottenham in the embryonic Premier League table, as things stand.
