The former Manchester United defender believes that Villa have got everything they need from their current stadium.
Neville has also hailed Tyrone Mings, who joined the Villans on a permanent contract from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window for an initial fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £20 million.
The 26-year-old defender played for Villa on loan from the Cherries during the second half of last season and was a key figure in Dean Smith’s side getting promoted to the Premier League from the Championship via the playoffs.
According to WhoScored, Mings has made three appearances in the Premier League for Villa this season and made 18 appearances in the Championship for the Villans during the 2018-19 campaign.
Neville said on Sky Sports Main Event (7:04pm, August 23, 2019): “There are some great new grounds in the Premier League.
“This is an old ground, but don’t change it because it has got everything that you would need.”
Neville said about Mings on Sky Sports Main Event (7:40pm, August 23, 2019): “He is somebody at the back who is a leader, somebody who they all look up to.”
Villa registered their first win of the Premier League season last Friday evening, as they got the better of Everton 2-0 at Villa Park.
The performance of the Villans was very encouraging, and the fans will have been pleased to see the team bounce back from two successive defeats in the league.
