Leeds United have a second-round League Cup visit of Stoke City on Tuesday.
Jack Clarke hasn’t kicked a ball in the Championship since returning to Leeds United.
The 18-year-old re-signed for the Whites on a season-long loan after joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
His only minutes so far have come in Leeds’ League Cup win over Salford City earlier this month, but he might return to the left wing on Tuesday when Marcelo Bielsa’s side host Stoke in the same competition.
Bielsa might also feel tempted to give Matesuz Bogusz his competitive debut.
The Polish midfielder, who joined Leeds in January, impressed on the club’s pre-season tour of Australia and the 18-year-old might hope to start alongside compatriot Mateusz Klich in midfield against City.
Arsenal-owned Eddie Nketiah, who scored at Salford, is expected to lead the line once again, with Clarke and Helder Costa providing wide support.
In defence, Leif Davis and Jamie Shackleton might take up the full-back roles, as they did in the previous round, whereas Bielsa revealed after Saturday’s 3-0 league win at Stoke that captain Liam Cooper – who dropped out of the squad due to injury – could have played [Leeds Live].
It remains to be seen whether Bielsa gives goalkeeper Illan Meslier a debut or continues with Kiko Casilla.
Meslier didn’t make the squad against Salford because Leeds are forbidden from naming more than five loanees in a matchday squad, so it might be a toss-up between whether he or Jack Harrison is named in the 18 on Tuesday.
