Leeds United beat Stoke City 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds United continued their blistering start to the Championship season by seeing off Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites travelled over to the Potteries to take on Nathan Jones’ struggling Stoke side, and swatted them aside with relative ease.
Stuart Dallas put Leeds ahead in the first half, before Ezgjan Alioski and Patrick Bamford both struck in the second half to secure a 3-0 win.
Leeds remain top of the Championship table with that win, and they also managed to exorcise a few demons from their last trip to Stoke.
Leeds were top of the Championship when Jones – Stoke’s new boss at the time – masterminded a 2-1 win back in January, and Stoke posted a photo of Jones celebrating from that game.
Stoke were hoping for a similar result on Saturday, but Leeds poked fun at the Potters by replying with a photo of a glum-looking Jones having seen his side lose 3-0 this time around.
Jones has though been very complimentary of Marcelo BIelsa’s side, telling Leeds Live that he felt Leeds completely overran his team in the second half – a sentiment that is becoming very, very common in the Championship.
