Aston Villa recorded their first win of the season when they beat Everton on Friday night.

Aston Villa fans have hit out at Everton manager Marco Silva after he suggested that his team 'didn't deserve the result' against Dean Smith's side on Friday night.

The Toffees suffered a 2-0 defeat against Villa, with striker Wesley netting his first goal and Anwar El Ghazi coming off the bench to make sure of the points in stoppage-time.

Silva's side dominated possession during the game and should have put away one of three chances during the match (Calvert-Lewin, Iwobi and Walcott), but in the end, Tom Heaton only had one save to make.

Villa played with more energy during the game and punished their opponents at the right moments, with Smith's side recording their first points of the season.

But Silva seemingly saw another side to the game as he felt that Villa had 'nine players around the box', as he told Sky Sports.

Silva's comments haven't gone down well with the Villa faithful, who think the Everton man is just being bitter about the result as they reminded him of his team's lack of shots on target.

Everton were very sloppy in their play, especially in the middle of the park, where Andre Gomes struggled to prove his worth on the night.
