Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Ryan Edmondson for the Under-23 side against their Ipswich Town counterparts.

Edmondson was in action for the Leeds Under-23 team against their Ipswich counterparts in the Professional Development League North at Playford Road on Friday.

The 18-year-old striker scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute, as Carlos Corberan’s side won 1-0.

The youngster came close to scoring in the first half, and he etched his name on the scoresheet in the second period when he headed home Kun Temenuzhkov’s cross.

The talented and promising teenager came close again in the 64th minute when his strike was tipped onto the crossbar.

Edmondson had another late chance when Theo Hudson found him, and this time he fired the ball just wide of the mark.

Leeds fans watching the match were impressed with Edmondson, and while some want first-team head coach Marcelo Bielsa to give him a chance in the senior side, others have suggested that the striker be sent out on loan.
