Liverpool are reportedly ready to make an offer for the Bayer Leverkusen star next summer.
According to a report from German media outlet Sport 1, Liverpool are one of eight clubs interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz next summer.
The 20-year-old is one of the brightest young talents in the game, and he will undoubtedly go on to become an absolute star.
Havertz was in sizzling form for Leverkusen last season, racking up an incredible 20 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions, and what a superb signing he would be for Liverpool.
The German youngster usually operates as a number 10, but he can also play out on either wing, and he would provide Jurgen Klopp with an entirely different option in the middle of the park.
Liverpool won't have things all their own way, however.
Sport 1 claims that he is also a transfer target for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The German publication claims that Havertz will be available for around €100 million (£91 million) next summer, and considering his incredible talent and potential, that could actually represent decent value for money in today's ludicrously inflated transfer market.
Liverpool will obviously have their work cut-out if they are to sign Havertz, with so many of Europe's mega clubs keen on obtaining the German youngster's signature.
Jurgen Klopp is overseeing a wonderfully exciting project at Anfield, however, and the Leverkusen starlet might just be tempted into picking the Reds over all of the other clubs mentioned.
