Leeds United beat Brentford 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Leeds United claimed another win on Wednesday night, beating Brentford 1-0 at Elland Road thanks to Eddie Nketiah's winner.
The Whites beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, and made sure they stayed top of the table on Wednesday night with that win over the Bees.
The game was built up as being Pontus Jansson's return to Elland Road, his first trip back to West Yorkshire since leaving Leeds for Brentford this summer.
It looked like Jansson would be leaving with a clean sheet as the game entered the dying stages at 0-0, but Leeds had a late salvo to secure the win.
Helder Costa got through down the right flank and crossed for fellow new boy Eddie Nketiah to score the winner, converting from close range.
It was almost a carbon copy of the goal Nketiah scored against Salford City last week, even with the same player grabbing the assist, but this time it was for three points.
After the game, Leeds captain Liam Cooper took to Twitter to react to the win, praising Nketiah as 'on fire' after snatching that late winner.
Cooper added that the Leeds fans are 'unbelievable', after they recorded a huge 35,000 attendance for a midweek game.
