Sky Sports pundit Kevin Nolan has claimed that Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 'the one' Jurgen Klopp would want to buy for Liverpool.

Both teams, who have won their opening two Premier League matches, meet at Anfield on Saturday evening in what is expected to be a mouthwatering encounter.

Ahead of the game, many have been picking their combined XI's from both Liverpool and Arsenal players. Former Premier League player Nolan selected Liverpool's front three to play in-behind Aubameyang.

Speaking to Football Centre on Sky Sports News (20/08/2019 at 10:55 pm), Nolan believes a player like Aubameyang could be ideal for Klopp.

On picking the attackers from his combined Liverpool & Arsenal XI: "If you are going to have a front three then these boys [Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, who are playing in-behind Aubameyang] you can't take out," Nolan told Sky Sports News.

"You saw in the Super Cup, when Firmino came on, the way they just gelled, the way they inter-changed and the rotation from them. It's just absolutely fantastic.

"But then, you couldn't leave Aubameyang out. I thought if someone was to mess up with that front three, if Klopp was going to go and buy someone, I think this boy could be the one. He could go in and that threesome could become a foursome. His goal outlet last season, he scored 22, I think."

Aubameyang joined Arsenal for £56 million during the January transfer window of 2016 [BBC Sport], and it is fair to say that he has been an absolute hit for the Gunners

Last season, he was joint top-scorer alongside Mo Salah and Saidio Mane and it perhaps could be argued his performances went under the radar because of Arsenal's poor season.

But at the weekend, he will be a serious threat to Liverpool's defence, who are yet to keep a clean sheet this term.
