The 21-year-old is highly rated at Villa Park after coming through the ranks and was in Villans boss Dean Smith's pre-season plans.
The 21-year-old Villa Park academy graduate is a highly rated prospect at the club and spent the second half of last season on loan at Carlisle United in League Two.
O'Hare featured 16 times for the Cumbrians in 2018-19, scoring three goals and registering three assists as they made a late bid for a playoff finish, while this summer he was part of Dean Smith's pre-season plans.
From Solihull like Villa captain Jack Grealish, the attacking ace made his debut for Villa in August 2017 and made eight appearances for them in the 2017-18 campaign, with one more in the claret and blue the following season.
"We’re pleased to welcome Callum to the football club," Mark Robins told the Coventry website. "He is a naturally talented footballer, with great creative ability and an eye for goal too. He is at the stage of his development where it is important for him to get regular minutes in league football, and we look forward to working with him this season."
Here is what some Sky Blues fans said on social media following O'Hare's arrival at the club:
Could be a good signing only time will tell but I'm not sure how he fits in with what we've got and the way we have set our team out so far ? I hope this isn't a deal where we end up having to play him at the expense of a better player who is one of our own— Ian Harding (@IANEHARDING) 22 August 2019
I share your concerns because from what Robins has said, "He [O'Hare] is at the stage of his development where it is important for him to get regular minutes in league football." That means we'll have Kelly, Shipley, Allen, Westbrooke and Eccles fighting it out for 2 places.— CelebCelery (@CelebCelery) 22 August 2019
He better not replace Shipley, he is one of our own and he is playing really well so far this season.— mojpisSB (@moskyblue14) 22 August 2019
As far as I can make out he's right-footed, so it's Westbrooke's place which seems to be the one under threat.— CelebCelery (@CelebCelery) 22 August 2019

Very talented according to some villa fans. I can’t help but feel I’ve heard his name mentioned for the last few years around the leagues. A good addition!— Dan Bartlett (@dan1bartlett) 22 August 2019
We need a right back boys this ain’t it— L U K E (@lukkee_87) 22 August 2019
The Sky Blues, who sit third in the League One table after four games, two points off the top, face Gillingham at St Andrew's on Saturday.
