Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has taken to Twitter with his post-match assessment of the 1-0 Championship win over Luton Town at Hillsborough on Tuesday night.

The Owls made it three wins from four league games, going top of the table in the process, as Kadeem Harris pounced onto Steven Fletcher's knock-down header in the 54th minute to score the only goal of the encounter.

The win over the Hatters was just the tonic for a side which, after winning their first two Championship games of the season, against Reading and Barnsley, then slipped to a 1-0 loss away at Millwall last weekend.

Bannan praised the fact Wednesday picked up all three points but admitted the overall display from his side could have been better, and looked ahead to Saturday's trip to Preston North End.

Some Owls fans took the time to respond to the 29-year-old's post:

Preston, who are currently 18th in the fledgling Championship table with one win and two defeats from their opening three league fixtures, are in action tonight as they host Stoke City at Deepdale.
