Leeds United will be hoping to earn promotion to the Premier League this season and renew their rivalry with Manchester United.
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa
Marcelo Bielsa has stated that he 'takes notes' during training about who his best penalty taker should be following the controversy surrounding Manchester United.
On Monday night, the Manchester club were awarded a penalty during their Premier League encounter against Wolves – Paul Pogba took and missed the spot-kick despite his teammate Marcus Rashford taking and scoring one during the previous game.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shared after the game that he has two designated spot-kick takers – Rashford or Pogba
Leeds boss Bielsa was asked about how he decides his penalty takers following the controversy with Manchester United., as posted on LS11's official YouTube account.
“We have our players who are good at making these decisions, more than one player,” Bielsa told his press conference.“The players we assign that has to do the penalties is the best player to do this.

“If there is a debate that he is going to take the penalty because he is the best player then this is a normal thing.
“We take notes about how they are taking penalties during the training. You can evaluate very easily these types of situations. Then you can take a clear report about who is the player that is making or finishing the penalty.”
There are a number of Leeds players that can step up to take penalties - from striker Patrick Bamford to playmaker Pablo Hernandez.
With the introduction of VAR, penalties being awarded in the Premier League might just increase, as was seen during the World Cup in Russia.
Nonetheless, Leeds will be hoping to use VAR on a regular basis next season, because if they do, then that'll mean they are a Premier League club once again, and it's fair to say that England's top-flight would be richer with Leeds in it rather than out of it.
