The Telegraph has reported that Aston Villa have hired former West Bromwich Albion goalkeeping coach Mark Naylor.

Naylor has been with West Brom for the past 19 years.

But according to The Telegraph, he is set to join Aston Villa's academy and will work under Neil Cutler, whom he knows from his time with the Baggies.

Here's how Villa fans reacted on Twitter:

Naylor is the latest West Brom man who Aston Villa have poached to improve their academy at Bodymoor Heath.

In June, it was announced that the Premier League new boys had hired Mark Harrison as the club’s Academy Manager, with Harrison working at Albion for a decade.

It's been a summer of plenty of change on and off the field for Aston Villa.

On it, manager Dean Smith has added over £100 million worth of talent in recent months, but the newly-promoted outfit are yet to open their account in the top flight. Smith's side have lost their first two Premier League games, but will get a chance to put things right when Everton visit the West Midlands on Friday.
