Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to recent comments made by Xherdan Shaqiri about his future.

Shaqiri has told Langenthaler Tagblatt, as translated by talkSPORT, that he is “disappointed” that he is not getting playing time at Liverpool.

The former Stoke City winger has also suggested that he could leave the Reds in the summer transfer window, and has said that he is not happy at sitting on the substitutes’ bench.

 

The 27-year-old Switzerland international winger made 11 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan man played just 176 minutes in the Champions League for the Merseyside outfit last season, according to WhoScored.

Having yet to play in the league for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, Shaqiri is frustrated at his current situation, and Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to his comments.
