Newcastle United have started off the season with back-to-back defeats.
Newcastle United supporters on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to Steve Bruce seemingly calling the players in on their day off following Saturday's defeat to Norwich City.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Bruce has told his players to report to training on Sunday morning following their abject 3-1 defeat to the newly-promoted side.
It was a dominant display from Daniel Farke's men, who could have arguably scored a lot more goals against Bruce's winless side.
Bruce's appointment in the summer wasn't met with great joy by the Newcastle fans, as the former centre-back is yet to pick up a point.
On the opening day of the season, the Magpies were beaten by Arsenal, but that can be accepted because it is against a team chasing Champions League football.
But, against Norwich, things took a turn for the worse as it seems as though the players have had to put in an extra shift in on Sunday in order to makeup for their performance on Saturday.
Things don't get easier for the Newcastle players, or Bruce himself because they will take on Mauricio Pochettino's unbeaten Tottenham next Sunday.
Here is a selection of Newcastle fans reacting to those reports about Bruce calling the players in on their day off:

Bruce can cancel as many days off as he likes, it’ll make no difference, he’s appalling.— Richard Coulthard (@Rich1570) August 18, 2019
Beginning of the end for him already, if only someone had seen this coming... well apart from absolutely everyone— S Buddie (@SBuddie1877) August 17, 2019
Is this the next level down from a Phil Brown half time team talk. It's not going to make them any 'kin better is it!— James Ford (@jamesford667) August 17, 2019
