Neil Lennon’s Celtic are reportedly interested in Jordon Ibe of Bournemouth.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are interested in signing Jordon Ibe from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window, and what the 23-year-old winger said about himself back when he was Liverpool should encourage the Celtic Park faithful.
It has been reported by The Scottish Sun that Celtic want to secure the services of Ibe on a loan deal from Premier League outfit Bournemouth.
The former England Under-21 international – who earns £38,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is a very good winger, and the 23-year-old will be a good signing for the Hoops on a loan deal.
The Hoops could do with a dynamic and skilful player down the flank such as Ibe, and what the youngster said about himself back in November 2015 should encourage the Celtic fans.
Ibe was at Liverpool at the time and was trying to establish himself in manager Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup.
The Irish Mirror quoted the 23-year-old as saying in November 2015: “I’m hoping my attributes – pace and strength and being able to go past people – will suit the way he wants to play and I can get some opportunities.”
Celtic are facing a stiff challenge from bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers for the Scottish Premiership title this season, and a player of Ibe’s quality will help.
