Celtic are reportedly keen on signing winger Jordon Ibe.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are targeting a loan deal for Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe before this month's transfer deadline.
The Bhoys are out of the Champions League after losing their qualifying tie with Cluj, and Neil Lennon needs reinforcements before the window slams shut.
With question marks surrounding Scott Sinclair's role at Parkhead, another winger may be on Lennon's wish list, with one player seemingly near the top of that list.
It's claimed that Bournemouth's Ibe is now a loan target for Celtic, with the Bhoys hoping to tempt the Cherries into letting Ibe go out for the season.
The 23-year-old hasn't lived up to his potential since arriving from Liverpool in 2016, as he's managed just three goals and seven assists in three Premier League campaigns under Eddie Howe.
Yet with David Brooks injured and new new signing Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld suffering with a foot problem, letting Ibe out may be an issue given the concerns in Howe's winger ranks.
With skill and a turn of pace, Ibe could be a superb signing for Celtic, and some fans may be intrigued to learn that former Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers is a fan of Ibe.
Not only was he linked with a move to join Rodgers at Leicester this summer (The Sun), but Rodgers also hailed Ibe at Liverpool, with This Is Anfield quoting him as saying that he thought Ibe was an 'outstanding talent' with a great tactical understanding and ability in one-on-ones with defenders.
Ibe hasn't quite lived up to the billing, but could still bring some of that quality Rodgers mentioned if Celtic can get a deal done, which may not be easy.
