Odsonne Edouard can take little blame for Celtic’s defeat.

Celtic’s players have been criticised for their performances in the shock defeat against Cluj.

Manager Neil Lennon has rightly been blamed, along with the club’s recruitment policy.

One person who does not really deserve criticism is striker Odsonne Edouard.

Edouard did his job, getting on the scoresheet as Celtic netted three times on the night.

‘French Eddy’ led the line effectively and caused problems for the Cluj defence, only to see Celtic collapse at the other end of the pitch.

He has four goals and four assists this season in seven games in all competitions.

Edouard may feel he is deserving of having reached the Champions League knockout stages.

While his teammates are slated, some more deserving than others, Edouard should be able to hold his head high.

He at least gives Celtic reason to feel positive, that if somehow they can fix the defence, at least they remain a danger at the right end of the pitch.
