Leicester fans react to reports Andy King is travelling for talks with Steven Gerrard's Rangers

The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard could be about to add another midfielder to his Ibrox ranks.

According to the Leicester Mercury (as well as several publications north of the border) Andy King was due to travel for talks with Rangers on Thursday.

King has been with Leicester since 2004, when he joined the club's academy from Chelsea, and has scored or made 85 goals in 375 games for the Foxes, with whom he won the Premier League title in 2016.

 

His involvement has decreased in recent campaigns, however, leading to loan spells at Swansea City and Derby County, where he was managed by Gerrard's former teammate, Frank Lampard.

But several of a Leicester persuasion are backing King for success, if he does become a Rangers player.

Rangers already have plenty of options in King's position, and his arrival could raise questions about the futures of Jason Holt, Graham Dorrans, Andy Halliday and Greg Docherty at Ibrox.
