The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard could be about to add another midfielder to his Ibrox ranks.
According to the Leicester Mercury (as well as several publications north of the border) Andy King was due to travel for talks with Rangers on Thursday.
King has been with Leicester since 2004, when he joined the club's academy from Chelsea, and has scored or made 85 goals in 375 games for the Foxes, with whom he won the Premier League title in 2016.
His involvement has decreased in recent campaigns, however, leading to loan spells at Swansea City and Derby County, where he was managed by Gerrard's former teammate, Frank Lampard.
But several of a Leicester persuasion are backing King for success, if he does become a Rangers player.
This is what they're saying on Twitter...
Good signing for Rangers. He’ll get 10 - 15 goals from midfield if he’s a regular starter— LCFC Forever (@lcfc_forever) August 15, 2019
No disrespect but for your level, yes he is very good. An international too.— ً (@Icfcsam) August 14, 2019
No where near good enough for prem, solid top end championship player. Will score goals for sure! Will be very good in Scotland— Adam Crouch (@Adam_crouch85) August 14, 2019

Solid championship player. Sure he would fit in well at rangers. Will keep the ball, gets forward and scores goals, good in the air as well— Tom (@_Bell93_) August 14, 2019
If you play him as a box to box player not a holding midfielder he'll do you proud. Never less than 7/10. Good luck to him.— Neil Harris Esq. ➡️ (@nharris1978) August 14, 2019
Now that is a BIG club— Mirko (@LCFCholland) August 14, 2019
He's alright. Not brilliant but will give his all.— Micky S (@lcfcfox1884) August 14, 2019
He'll bang in 15 goals there— (@yoshimitsu551) August 14, 2019

Kept with the blue shirt. Would love to see him score a winner against Celtic. Any opportunity to stick it to @chris_sutton73— Carl Liquorish (@BaldyEchoes) August 14, 2019
Wow - if there wasn't bad blood between BR and Celtic before, there certainly will be now.— Colin Hall ☮️ #FreeNazanin (@Ultra_Fox) August 14, 2019
Lending Andy King to Sevco for the rest of the season - and perhaps assisting with his wages too? - is a clear sign that the #LCFC boss seeks a genuine contest for the SPL title.
Rangers already have plenty of options in King's position, and his arrival could raise questions about the futures of Jason Holt, Graham Dorrans, Andy Halliday and Greg Docherty at Ibrox.
Is Rangers a good move for the Leicester favourite?
