Can Leeds United maintain their unbeaten run when they travel to Wigan on Saturday?

Leeds United could make seven changes to the team that knocked League Two Salford out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night as they take on Wigan in the Championship at the weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are unbeaten during these early stages of the season and they will be looking to maintain that run when they travel to the DW Stadium on Saturday.

After being rested in midweek, the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Patrick Bamford and Liam Cooper could return for the Yorkshire outfit.

Added with that, left-back Barry Douglas, who joined the club for £5 million in 2018 [Birmingham Live], will be hoping to return to the starting XI, so he can once and for all prove his worth at fullback.

It was a tough campaign for Douglas last term, and whilst he hasn’t proven his worth yet, him starting on a regular basis will more than likely help him showcase his best to the Elland Road faithful.

Nonetheless, Leeds’ impressive new signing Ben White, who started against Salford, will be expected to keep his place, as Stuart Dallas may continue to deputise at right-back.

Kalvin Phillips was also one of those players that kept his place at Salford from that 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest and given his importance to the team, he will no doubt keep his place in the starting XI.

There perhaps could be an argument to start Eddie Nketiah against Wigan given the fact that he scored on his debut for the Whites, but that would be harsh on Patrick Bamford, who has started the season well.
