Ian Wright and Jamie Carragher lauded Sadio Mane and Adrian during Liverpool's UEFA Super Cup win against Chelsea on Wednesday night in Istanbul.
Goalkeeper Adrian, who is only starting for the Reds because first-team keeper Alisson Becker is injured, was the hero on the night for Liverpool as they beat Frank Lampard's side on penalties.
In the game itself, Chelsea took the lead through Oliver Giroud in the first-half before Sadio Mane equalised just after the break. The game then went to extra-time with Mane putting his team ahead for the first time in the match before Jorginho scored a controversial penalty six minutes later.
After the match, former Arsenal striker Wright credited Mane for his well-taken goal, as Carragher, who is seemingly looking to sell his house to Liverpool's new signing, Adrian, joked that he could have his house for free after he saved Tammy Abraham's decisive spot-kick.
It is fair to say that during that penalty shootout victory for Liverpool, they relieved the memories from their famous comeback against AC Milan in 2005.
Adrian, who had to come off the bench to replace the injured Alisson against Norwich over the weekend, will be pretty pleased that he has already made an impact on his new club.
The former West Ham man will be looking to continue that on Saturday afternoon when the Reds take on Southampton at St Mary's.
There won't be much rest time for the Liverpool players, whose front three only returned to pre-season in mid-July because they were participating in the Copa America and Africa Cup of Nations.
