BBC Sport pundit Don Hutchinson has claimed that Sadio Mane is 'one of those players' who just looks 'fresh' as he praised the Liverpool man for his performance during the Super Cup win against Chelsea.
Hutchinson also claimed that during normal time, when the Reds conceded a controversial spot-kick, goalkeeper Adrian should have done his homework when Jorginho slotted away his penalty.
Despite that, Adrian made amends during the penalty shoot-out, as he saved Tammy Abraham's decisive kick to help Liverpool win their fourth European Super Cup.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live (14/08/2019 at 10:05 pm), Hutchinson offered differing views on Mane and Adrian before the game was won by the Spaniard.
"How about that for a finish?" Hutchinson told BBC Radio 5 Live. "Straight into the top corner by Sadio Mane - he started the move, just drifted in towards the edge of the box and side-foot finish. No chance for Kepa. Brilliant finish that from Mane. But he is one of those players, Sadio Mane, where you watch him and think 'he's fresh, he's fit and durable'.
On Adrian conceding a penalty during normal time: "Adrian hasn't done his homework. If you watch Jorginho take a penalty, he always does a little skip, so you have to be brave and stand up as long as you can."
It has been a pretty eventful start to life at Liverpool for Adrian, who was originally brought in to play second fiddle to Alisson Becker, who is now injured.
The former West Ham man has taken his chance with both hands and helped Jurgen Klopp's side add another trophy to their cabinet.
Despite not having much of a break over the summer, Mane also looked back to his best, as he will be looking to hit the 20+ goal mark once again this season.
