Everton reportedly scouted Porto against Krasnodar on Tuesday night.
According to A Bola, Everton were among the teams to have scouted Porto in action against Krasnodar last night, though no specific target is named.
Porto were leading 1-0 from the first leg against the Russian side, and were expected to go through as they came back for the home leg with an away goal in hand.
However, Sergio Conceicao's side fell flat, and were 3-0 down by half time as Tonny Vilhena's early goal and a Magomed Suleymanov brace left them on the brink.
Ze Luis and Luiz Diaz hit back, but it wasn't enough for Porto as they crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers with a shock defeat,
It's claimed that Everton had scouts in attendance at the Estadio do Dragao, whilst Bournemouth, Chelsea, Leicester City, Manchester City, Manchester United, Southampton and Watford followed suit.
Some will wonder who Everton were watching, and one name who could be back on the Everton wish list is striker Moussa Marega, who hit 17 goals for Porto last season.
The Mirror reported last summer that Everton wanted the powerhouse striker, and whilst Moise Kean has arrived, adding a more experienced striker – Marega is 28 – could be wise, especially with Oumar Niasse and Cenk Tosun having little long-term prospects.
Krasnodar midfielder Vilhena could be one name on the list, with Brands familiar with him from Dutch football, but he has only just joined the Russian side, whilst Porto winger Jesus Corona may also fit the bill if Everton move on Theo Walcott in the future, but Marega appears the most sensible name right now.
