Leeds fans react on Twitter to Stoke draw in Carabao Cup

The Whites are in the second round and have been drawn at Elland Road as Marcelo Bielsa's charges face Championship opposition in the cup.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup, which has put the Whites up against Championship rivals Stoke City at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa's charges ran out 3-0 winners over League Two new-boys Salford City in the first round as Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring at the Peninsula Stadium, tapped home Helder Costa's low cross shortly before the break.

 

Gaetano Berardi then doubled Leeds' lead on 50 minutes, flicking the impressive Costa's near-post corner into the back of the net, and Mateusz Klich curled home a third from the edge of the box to kill off the hosts' resistance just before the hour.

Leeds will thus host Stoke at Elland Road, the Potters edging Wigan Athletic 1-0 thanks to Nathan Collins' close-range header in the 10th minute of Tuesday night's tie at the DW Stadium, and the two sides will lock horns in the week beginning 26 August.
