Goodison Park saw the Toffees take on the Imps in the FA Cup earlier this year.
A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Carabao Cup second-round draw, which has put them up against Lincoln City for the second time this year.
The Toffees locked horns with the Imps in the third round of the 2018-19 FA Cup, where Marco Silva’s side overcame their opponents 2-1 at Goodison Park, Ademola Lookman and Bernard scoring for the hosts.
Lincoln booked themselves a place in the hat for the second round of the Carabao Cup after overcoming Huddersfield Town 1-0 on Tuesday night, Harry Anderson side-footing unmarked from Harry Toffolo's cross on 55 minutes.
Everton will travel to Sincil Bank in the week commencing 26 August as they bid to improve on last season's Carabao Cup run, which ended in the third round after a penalty shootout defeat at Southampton.
The two clubs formed a brief unofficial alliance during the 2001-02 season and, from it, boyhood Evertonian Clive Nates was alerted to Lincoln, later investing in the club, joining the board and becoming chairman (Lincolnshire Live).
Here is what some Toffees fans said on social media about the draw:
