Should Celtic bring Fraster Forster back to Glasgow? Fans believe so.
Celtic fans on Twitter want Fraser Forster back after Scott Bain's struggles as of late.
The Scottish goalkeeper didn't cover himself in glory on Tuesday as Cluj beat the Hoops 4-3 on the night and 5-4 overall to dump Neil Lennon's side out of Champions League qualifying.
Bain was also at fault for one of Motherwell's goals on Saturday and it's becoming a problem for Celtic.
Lennon still has more than two weeks in which to sign new players, and some fans of the Parkhead club want a return of Forster, who they sold for £10 million to Southampton in 2014 [The Guardian]
An Artur Boruc or a Fraser Forster saves that penalty last night, Bains never a celtic number one.— Nathan (@NathanBradleyyy) August 14, 2019
Surely the question has to be asked about the availability of Fraser Forster. Our GK situation is dire. Bain has bottled it big time. Gordon not getting a look in for whatever reason.— AlanTurner (@alan_turner83) August 14, 2019
Don’t think Gordon is the answer either Go get Fraser Forster back on Loan.— Joe Dabernig (@JoeDabernig) August 14, 2019
Is Fraser forster still up for grabs ? Bain couldn't keep weins out a close— millsy (@millsymillar) August 13, 2019
Announce Fraser Forster NOW!!— M!DS (@BrunoMids) August 13, 2019
Both are rubbish and we’ve need a proper goalkeeper since Fraser Forster. It’s embarrassing.— LAC (@LAC67_) August 13, 2019
Ho, Fraser Forster, what ye up tae big man? @CelticFC— Mikey David Smith (@MikeyDavidSmith) August 13, 2019
Is a return viable? Definitely.
The 31-year-old, who won three Premiership titles in Glasgow, is very much on the fringes of things at Southampton, making just the one competitive appearance for them in close to 18 months.
It seems plausible that the Saints would let him go for the right amount and given Celtic's desperation, it's certainly something that should be looked at.
