The fresh report states Denizlispor and Sivasspor want to take Barrow on loan with a view to a permanent transfer. The player is said to be in Istanbul to discuss a move with representatives.
Derby were desperate to add a winger before the transfer deadline shut last Thursday. The Rams managed to bring in Jamie Paterson from Bristol City on loan, but evidence suggests he wasn’t their first choice.
Paterson admitted to Rams TV upon signing that the move only came about on deadline day.
Derby may have had Mo Barrow higher up on their list. Get Reading reported that Derby held talks with Reading early last week over a move for the Gambian, but they failed to meet the Berkshire club’s asking price.
Barrow started the opening day defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday, but he was left out completely for Reading’s trip to Hull City at the weekend as a switch to Turkey now seems on the cards.
While the transfer deadline is shut for English clubs, Championship players can still move down the leagues on loan while the window is still open until the end of the month for several foreign leagues including Turkey.
