The Glasgow Rangers ace made his Ibrox breakthrough last year after impressing Gers boss Steven Gerrard in pre-season.
Glasgow Rangers youngster Glenn Middleton has taken to Twitter following confirmation of his loan switch from Ibrox to fellow Scottish Premiership side Hibernian on a season-long deal.
The Rangers website confirmed that the 19-year-old had made the temporary move as Hibs, managed by Paul Heckingbottom, set about looking to improve upon their fifth-place finish in the last campaign.
Middleton was close to agreeing a season-long switch to Dutch outfit NAC Breda last week but Rangers boss Steven Gerrard admitted last week that his player had a change of heart and chose to remain in Scotland (Edinburgh Evening News).
The Scotland Under-21 international broke into the Rangers first team scored five goals in 27 appearances for the Light Blues last season but fell down the pecking order following the arrival of the likes of Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo and Jake Hastie.
Middleton posted an image on his Twitter of his unveiling at Easter Road, complete with new shirt, and a short message:
Middleton impressed Steven Gerrard during pre-season last year, leading to a promotion to the senior squad and the winger was then awarded with a new contract in October, keeping him at Ibrox until 2023.
