The Arsenal loanee made the most of his Leeds United debut tonight.

Eddie Nketiah of Leeds United scores the opening goal during the Carabao Cup First Round match between Salford City and Leeds United at Moor Lane on August 13, 2019 in Salford, England.

Leeds United cruised into the second round of the Carabao Cup with a simple 3-0 win away to Salford City.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa gave deadline-day signing Eddie Nketiah his debut and the Arsenal loanee justified his inclusion by scoring the opener.

Nketiah won't score many easier goals for Leeds this season, tapping home from six yards after a brilliant low cross from Helder Costa on his full debut.

Here's how Arsenal icon Ian Wright reacted to the 20-year-old's goal.

Gaetano Berardi made it 2-0 five minutes after the break with a very rare goal, while Mateusz Klich put the result beyond doubt shortly before the hour mark with a third.

But Nketiah will be getting the post-match headlines and rightly so.

What a way to kick off your Leeds career and his performance might lessen the concern around Patrick Bamford being United's only senior striker, following the sale of Kemar Roofe.
