Celtic need new signings before the end of the transfer window, and at least have a windfall of cash having sold left back Kieran Tierney to Arsenal last week.

The Bhoys have a number of positions that need to be filled, and both full back positions still need some attention before the transfer window comes to an end.

Hatem Abd Elhamed and Boli Bolingoli have arrived as right and left backs respectively, but reports over the last 24 hours suggest more signings are coming in those areas.

The Daily Mail (back page, 13/08) suggest that Celtic are now prioritising Lech Poznan ace Robert Gumny as their new right back target, and are willing to spend £6million on the Pole.

On the left, Rosenborg's Birger Meling is the latest target, with The Scottish Sun claiming the Norwegian is now a 'serious' target to replace Tierney.

These two would be perfect signings for the Bhoys, and exactly what many fans would love to see having been big fans of both players in recent times.

Gumny, 21, is exciting going forward with pace and trickery, offering a real option for the future given that Abd Elhamed is a more solid and experienced option.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Meling – who scored against Celtic in the Champions League qualifiers last summer – is quick and relentless in terms of his work rate, whilst being a little more solid defensively than new boy Bolingoli.

The pair have quality now and potential for the future, and if Celtic can use the Tierney money to land both players and sort out both full back positions for years to come, it will be money well spent.
